The book of record for Businesses

Invoices, bills, stock, assets and bank lines post into one general ledger. Every change leaves a trail you can audit.

Works in any browser on your phone, tablet or computer. Praxis records your money and never moves it.

Your books are not stuck on one computer

Praxis runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install and no office machine to keep switched on. Open it on whatever you have in your hand.

  • On your phone

See cash, get alerts and approve a bill from wherever you are.

  • On a tablet at the till

Run the daily cash-up and stock take where the work happens.

  • On a laptop at your desk

Reconcile the bank, post journals and close the month.

Everything a finance team does, in the order they do it

Seven areas, one set of books. A purchase order only matters because a bill will be matched to it, so they live together. Stock and fixed assets sit side by side under asset management.

Sales and collections

From quote to cash, with credit risk watched along the way.

  • Quotes and invoices
  • Recurring invoices
  • Payment recording
  • Credit limits and scoring
  • Collections worklist
  • DSO and expected credit loss
  • Revenue recognition schedules

Purchasing and payables

Orders, bills and approvals in one chain, matched before anyone pays.

  • Bill capture
  • Purchase orders and contracts
  • Three-way matching
  • Exception queue
  • Duplicate detection
  • Supplier master controls
  • Approval hierarchies
  • Payment runs, recorded only

Cash and bank

Bank, mobile money and tills reconciled the same way.

  • Statement import
  • Reconciliation screen and coding rules
  • MTN and Airtel mobile money
  • Cash tills and daily cash-up
  • Transfers and fee splitting

Asset management

What you hold for sale and what you hold to use, valued and tracked.

Inventory

  • Item tracking and cost of goods sold
  • Reorder recommendations and EOQ
  • Stock takes
  • ABC classification

Fixed assets

  • Asset register
  • Depreciation on multiple schedules
  • Disposals, transfers and revaluation
  • Impairment and work in progress

Ledger and tax

The general ledger every other area posts into.

  • Chart of accounts
  • Journals that must balance
  • Tracking categories
  • Period locking
  • VAT and withholding tax, when you switch them on
  • Tax return summary and EFRIS reference

Planning and reporting

Know where you stand today and where the cash goes next.

  • Budgets against actuals
  • KPI dashboards
  • Product and project profitability
  • Rolling cash forecast
  • Working capital and shortfall alerts
  • Statement pack and note disclosures
  • Month-end close checklist
  • Role-based dashboards

Controls and audit

Rules the system enforces, and a record nobody can edit.

  • Append-only audit log
  • Segregation of duties, blocked up front
  • Access review campaigns
  • Continuous monitoring
  • Advisor workspace
  • Tasks, deadlines and escalation

Each person sees the work that is theirs

  • Business owners

Cash position, alerts and approvals from a phone.

  • Bookkeepers

Reconciliation, invoicing and the daily cash-up.

  • Accountants

    Journals, month-end close and statements.

  • Finance managers

Cash-flow forecast, working capital and credit exposure.

  • Auditors and controllers

Audit trail, exceptions and segregation-of-duties review.

  • Advisors

Controlled access to your clients' books.

Built on rules that do not bend

Your data stays yours
Every record belongs to one business. Ask for another business's record and Praxis answers as if it does not exist.
An audit log nobody can edit
Who did what, and when, is written in the same step as the change. The database refuses edits and deletes.
No approving your own work
Segregation of duties is checked before an action runs, so a conflict is blocked rather than reported afterwards.
Locked periods stay locked
Writes to a closed period are rejected. Reopening one needs a finance manager or admin, and is recorded.
Sign-in you can rely on
Passwords are hashed with Argon2id, with session controls on every account.

Bring your books out of the spreadsheet

Already on Xero or QuickBooks? Import your data, run it alongside your old books and reconcile the two before you switch.
